Crystalline Silicon is a general term for the crystalline (molecular crystal structure) forms of silicon (Si) i.e., multicrystalline silicon (multi-Si) and monocrystalline silicon (mono-Si) used predominantly in the manufacture of Solar Cells and semiconductor products. Crystalline Silicon is used in Solar Cells which are assembled into a solar panel and part of a photovoltaic system to generate solar power from sunlight.
